Ayaka Kagami (ayanicoco) exhibition「Decorated Skin」

PAINTER ayanicoco(Ayaka Kagami) exhibition「Decorated Skin」
at Meidaimae bookcafe KAITA

09/07~18/07 2014

An exhibition for a painter named ayanicoco (Ayaka Kagami)  「Decorated Skin」was held at a bookshop cafe in Meidaimae, 15 min by train from Shinjuku St.
Kagami is an independent painter in the Tokyo area, who mostly paints at clubs and music festivals .

The location of this exhibition was really nice. Her art work really matched the atmosphere of this quiet cafe, as  did the interior decoration. I was easily able to sit down and enjoy coffee by myself.
Naturally, her art was the main focal point of the shop, but I found myself involuntarily glancing at it from the coffee table as if I were naturally drawn to it.

Drawing faces cannot be easy for painters. Of course it requires certain skills, but more so the artist needs to be able to comprehend the expressions of people and see deep inside their being.

I'm looking forward to seeing her coming art work of FACES.The more she keeps drawing and seeing the world, the more she will be able to express it.
